The America I Can’t Quite See
The tragedies of Christian Cooper, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd have put so much on my heart. Putting thoughts to paper is the only way that I can make sense of it all. I write this as a black son, a father to a black son and also as a proud American. I love my son and my country in the same way: passionately, unconditionally, wanting the best for them and demanding the best of them. It is out of that love that I write now.
